We are looking for a full-time Activities Co-ordinator to lead our activities team at Ingham House Nursing Home, BN20 7EJ. You will be required to work 40 hours per week, including some weekend work, hours and days will be discussed at interview. The salary is £12.50 - £13.50 per hour, depending on experience. Job Overview: To develop and plan programmes, outings and events, staffing the events and overseeing the implementation of activities. Ensure the programme reflects the wishes and preferences of the current population of the organisation To organise essential events that enable service users to keep their confidence to socialise more effectively To maintain skills at a current level and to undertake such training and development as required, from time-to-time, to maintain and progress knowledge Responsibilities and Duties of the Job: The Activities Co-ordinator responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Organise and plan activity programmes reflecting service users preferences Produce newsletters to inform service users and their relatives / friends about what is going on Support service users to access the internet and other communication methods such as letter writing, and FaceTime Plan events within allocated budget Ensure service users are at the heart of events and programmes to enhance their wellbeing Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service Complete pre-assessments for day care referrals and activity level assessments (PAL). Skills & Qualifications Required: Develop effective working relationships with the other employees within the service. To maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required in order to maintain that currency of practice. Be flexible and have a positive can do attitude. Experience of working within an activities role.
