We are an Aerospace plating company that carries various plating processes including Cadmium, Anodising, Alocrom, Silver, nickel, and chrome plating, as well as various paint finishes. We are NADCAP Accredited.
Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. This is a full-time, onsite role where you will play a key part in ensuring that our processes consistently meet customer specifications, industry standards, and drawing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough inspections of products and components using calibrated measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, verniers, gauges).
* Verify compliance with customer specifications, technical drawings, and internal quality standards.
* Identify, investigate, and document non-conformances (NCRs), ensuring timely resolution.
* Prepare and manage 8D reports to address root causes and implement corrective actions.
* Liaise effectively with customers regarding quality issues, ensuring clear communication and professional representation of the company.
* Support and participate in external audits, working closely with auditors to demonstrate compliance with quality management systems.
* Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department.
* Collaborate with production teams to promote a strong quality culture across the business.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in a Quality Inspector or similar role within a manufacturing, engineering, or surface finishing environment.
* Strong understanding of inspection techniques and ability to interpret technical drawings.
* Proficient in the use of calibrated measuring equipment.
* Experience in writing and managing NCRs and 8D reports.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in engaging with customers and external auditors.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of quality standards and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
Desirable:
* Experience within the plating or surface finishing industry.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
