At cord, we hire people who are passionate. To us, great sales is the result of outstanding people who fundamentally love the craft of creating relationships. As a team, we deeply value the discovery process. We listen and talk up to every person we introduce to cord. And we are never short of ways of improving ourselves.
Hiring and building a team is arguably the most critical task of an early stage Founder - and the core day to day of a Talent Acquisition Manager. As an Account Executive at cord, you’ll work with key decision makers - often at a critical point in their journey - to help them better understand how cord can enable them to hire and grow.
Below are some more specific details on what you’ll be doing day to day - and the type of person we are looking for.
As an AE, you’ll
* Run your sales cycle from demo to close, ensuring a smooth handover to Customer Success
* Develop deep relationships with key decision makers like Founders, CTOs and Talent Acquisition Managers.
* Consistently feedback product insights from your conversations with potential users and customers
* Work to ensure a healthy pipeline of leads, constantly refining how we increase the volume and quality of leads

* Previous experience in recruiting (either agency or in-house)
* Outstanding listening skills
* Excellent written communication
* The ability to be both value-driven and results-focused
* Resourceful and positive in the face of a big challenge
* Inquisitive, motivated and humble
* Highly self-reflective; you ‘fail well’ without ego, learn, and improve
* While not essential, it would be great if you also had experience of working shorter sales cycles at a high volume.

Interview Process
1. The first step is with me (Will) - Co-founder. The call will be for 30 minutes or so. It’s designed as a chance for you to ask any questions you have about the position - and for me to better understand what your current circumstances are - what you want to do next - and what you are motivated by.
2. The second interview is an in-person interview with the team in our London Bridge office. You’ll meet 3 people; an SDR, myself - and another member of our Senior Leadership team. During this interview, we’ll spend more time talking about your experience - challenges you’ve faced in the past - and what truly great sales is to you.
3. If successful, we’ll either make you an offer - or find some time for one last call or coffee if there are any final questions.
