Rough Sleeping Hub Support Worker Portsmouth Homelessness 3 Months 37 Hours £15.64 LTD / £13.33 PAYE (inc hol) A local authority in Hampshire are recruiting for a Homeless Support Worker to join their Rough Sleeping Hub to provide essential support to homeless adults facing complex challenges. THE ROLE Supporting the smooth and safe running of the Rough Sleeping Hub (RSH) in Portsmouth, ensuring a welcoming and secure environment for service users. Manage client entry and exit, maintaining safe staff-to-client ratios Handle face-to-face, telephone, and email enquiries Maintain daily facilities, including laundry, breakfast delivery, needle exchange, donations & light cleaning Support clients through case management and tailored support plans Facilitate drop-in sessions and engage in multi-agency working Respond to referrals and self-presenting service users Maintain accurate client records and performance monitoring data THE CANDIDATE We are looking for candidates with previous experience in a similar role, supporting vulnerable adults, ideally within homelessness services. Experience working with rough sleepers or those with complex needs Strong risk assessment and safeguarding awareness Ability to build positive relationships with service users and partner agencies Confident in managing a caseload and delivering one-to-one support Competent in IT systems and case recording THE CONTRACT 40 Hours per week Shift-based work covering early (08:00-16:30) and late (14:00-22:30) shifts Every other weekend on shift 3-month contract with potential for temp-to-perm £15.64 per hour LTD company rate / £13.33 per hour PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay) If the role is more suited to someone you know, we offer a £250 referral bonus for every successfully referred candidate
