There is an exciting opportunity for a professional registered clinician band 5 for a developmental post into a band 6. This post will involve competencies which will need to be completed within 2 years dependent on current experience and will be assessed through various methods including feedback, self-directed assessment, direct observation and throughout line management. If not achieved within the specified timeframe, the candidate will not be able to progress onto the band 6.
This post will join an expanding team working within CAMHS Early Help Pathway, working with Children, Young people, and families as a CAMHS Liaison Practitioner upon successful completion of the competencies as part of the developmental post.
This role will be joining an already established team within CAMHS service, supporting the provision of early intervention services within CAMHS early help, working with Families and young people providing consultation, assessments, and targeted, short-term interventions up to 8 sessions within the I-THRIVE model, with a focus on early intervention.
Main duties of the job
* The postholder is responsible for supporting the emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing of children and young people. In line with the 2015 Future in Mind strategic vision for CAMHS, the post holder will promote resilience and early intervention to children and young people in the community.
* This post will involve competencies which will need to be completed within 2 years dependent on current experience and will be assessed through various methods including feedback, self-directed assessment, direct observation and throughout line management. If not achieved within the specified timeframe, the candidate will not be able to progress onto the band 6.
* The post holder will work as named Early Help liaison practitioner within the locality linking with other services, families, and schools.
* The post holder will be responsible for the coordination of assessment, targeted intervention, or group that meets the needs of the child or young person.
* This role will coordinate training to community professionals and schools.
Minimum Requirements
This role will require at least 1 year of post-qualification experience of working with children & young people within mental health or equivalent with a professional registration.

Qualifications
Essential
* Core qualification in any Mental health modality such as Nursing/Social Worker/OT with at least 1 year of experience of working with children & young people in mental health.
* Appropriate Registration relevant to professional qualification i.e. NMC, HCPC.
Experience

* Experience of post-registration working with children/young people who have experienced mental health and psychological well-being difficulties.
* Knowledge and understanding of difficulties that can impact their own mental health.
* Be able to manage your own caseload and time management effectively.
Skills

* Mental Health and Risk Assessment, evaluation and intervention skills.
* Good organisational skills and be able to prioritise caseload in a timely manner.
* Well-developed communication skills - both oral and written.
