We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council as a Waste and Recycling Data & Technical Officer in the Strategic Waste Management Team. The role: The role will see you working within the Strategic Waste Team to work on the implementation and analysis of new information management systems to track the performance of new waste services across East Suffolk. The new waste services, which are currently being planned, will see significant changes to the way we collect waste from households. Monitoring of financial performance and waste tonnages will be critical to the success of the new services. Be part of a dedicated team using data to plan, implement and monitor new waste service initiatives to maximise capture and quality of recyclable materials. To support improvement and development works for the Waste and Recycling service, working closely with our key Partners. To provide data, trends and analysis relating to the review and development planning of key operations to deliver a consistently high standard of service which is compliant with the appropriate legislation. What you will need: You will have proven experience of Waste and recycling services, or relevant background in operational data management, along with an excellent understanding and experience of manipulating data to monitor and forecast performance. You will have experience in researching and understanding waste related policies, or the ability to, as well as knowledge of Microsoft packages plus an awareness of the importance of confidentiality and data protection. You may also have experience with implementation of data management systems.
