Job Summary
To undertake the service, repair and maintenance of vehicle, plant and equipment in accordance with legislative and health and safety requirement. To undertake vehicle testing in line with VOSA regulations. To ensure that all maintenance work undertake is completed effectively, efficiently and is of a high standard of quality.
Responsibilities
* Conduct equipment repairs using hand tools, power tools, and specialised machinery.
* Assemble and fabricate components as required for various projects.
* Operate forklifts safely to transport materials around the workshop or site.
* Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide timely solutions to minimise downtime.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Collaborate with team members on larger projects, ensuring effective communication throughout.
Requirements
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
* Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
* Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing technologies within the industry.
* Physical capability to perform manual tasks, including digging and lifting as necessary.
