Responsibilities
Make an impact as an Engineering Manager – P&G, Trafford Park, Manchester. Working days are Monday to Friday, salary dependent on experience, the role comes with 25 days holiday plus stats, company contributory pension scheme, and private healthcare.
* Manage and lead a small team of multi-skilled engineers, working on a variety of automated machinery, including automated storage and retrieval systems, chain conveyors, roller conveyors, gravity roller conveyors, and cranes.
* Provide operational management oversight, demonstrating responsibility and ownership of the allocated customer site.
* Ensure that the company and customer safety regulations are always followed.
* Track site performance against customer KPIs.
* Work as a hands-on engineer and assist the team when needed.
* Deal promptly with all customer enquiries and problems.
Application Requirements
What you need to succeed:
* Previous experience in an Engineering Manager/Supervisor role is essential.
* An Apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering or a recognised engineering qualification.
* Strong skills and knowledge in leadership, administration, Health and Safety, communication, client engagement, flexibility, teamwork, and integrity.
* Experience of PPM and shift planning.
* Able to drive continuous improvements.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, as this is a customer-facing role.
* A good understanding of all Microsoft Packages and the ability to write and deliver reports to Swisslog and the Customer.
* Communicate openly, effectively, and consistently with all stakeholder groups and focus on customer needs and satisfaction.
