Health, Safety & Quality Coordinator
£32k per annum plus benefits

Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our Wakefield based client to recruit an experienced Health, Safety & Quality Coordinator on a permanent, full-time basis.
Working alongside the Group Safety & Quality Manager this role is a key member of the operations team supporting efficient operations across the site.
Key Accountabilities:
·Ensuring excellent understanding, compliance and enforcing of all health and safety and quality protocols and policies
·Ensuring the safety of all staff, contractors and visitors
·Reporting and documenting any non-conformances, incidents/accidents or near misses and implementing corrective actions
·Supporting and assisting first aiders and the Site Manager/Supervisor/Team Leader in case of emergencies and incidents
·Assisting in the design and introduction of new processes or measures to improve health and safety standards
·Ensuring all risk assessments are reviewed every 12 months
·Responsible for leading the site’s monthly safety and quality committee meetings
·Taking an active role in on-site internal unannounced quality and zero harm audits
·Ensuring that all safety and quality objectives are met
You will need:
·An understanding and knowledge of BRC requirements
·Experience of carrying out internal audits
·An understanding and knowledge of ISO 45001
·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
·A sincere bias for action and a passion to achieve results and drive production through efficiency and process improvement
·IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
·Internal Auditor & Inspection Skills Training (desirable)
·HACCP Level 2 (desirable)
This is a full time, permanent position working a 40-hour week. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm with a 30-minute unpaid break.
