We are looking for a Catering Assistant / Host to work within the Catering Team at Eastbourne Hospital and part of the Facilities liaising with ward staff and Housekeepers. Providing a catering support service and carrying out hygiene tasks. This is an important role that has a direct impact on the service that is provided to our customers.
This is a varied role and tasks include stocking up, packing catering ward requirements for delivery, carrying out hygiene tasks and delivering and collecting trolleys etc. to and from wards. Kitchen assistant tasks working as part of the catering team in the wash up, kitchen porters and main kitchen environment. Liaising with catering management / supervisor team to promote a effective and efficient service..
This is an important role within Catering and East Sussex Healthcare Trust and can have a direct impact on patients. Working within the Team and overall in the Trust can be very rewarding not just financially but also knowing as a team we are offering a wide ranging varied menu that is helping patients to be able to choose food they enjoy.
Working as part of the larger catering team to provide a service to the Trust as part of the patients, staff and visitors catering provisions. the job roll will include picking and packing ward food service boxes, working the central wash processing returned catering trollies from wards, kitchen porter work to support the main kitchen as part of the daily cleaning and pot wash area.
