Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer
As a Mechanical Engineer at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing medium-sized projects, focusing on designing and engineering mechanical skids and solutions tailored to project requirements. Responsibilities include developing Functional Design Specifications, overseeing subcontractors, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with codes and Quality Management Systems. Emphasis is placed on delivering projects on time with high quality and customer satisfaction, leveraging deep knowledge of UK standards and comprehensive project delivery skills.
This is a Hybrid work 3 days from office and 2 days from home with less than 25% local travel.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and engineer mechanical solutions, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
2. Collaborate with Project Management and Lead Engineer to influence conceptual designs and engineering decisions.
3. Prepare conceptual design documents in P&ID and GAD formats; verify and review engineering documents.
4. Manage RFQ packages, conduct technical bid evaluations, and liaise with subcontractors for compliance and quality.
5. Ensure project deliverables meet functionality, standards, quality, and documentation requirements while optimizing costs.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience designing skid-based units for natural gas or liquid applications essential.
2. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
3. Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar design tools.
4. Deep knowledge of mechanical and piping design codes (ASME, EN, PED) and UK Gas Network specifications.
5. Familiarity with UK Design approval process G17/PS6; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
