About the role:
As a BIM Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in our customer's project delivery team, fostering collaboration and delivering top-tier BIM services tailored to various capital projects. You will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing BIM processes, leveraging your technical expertise to enhance design coordination, model management, and project data integration. Your role will focus on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of project execution through streamlined BIM workflows, ensuring that all project phases are seamlessly integrated from design through to construction and operation.
You will develop and implement strategies to ensure that BIM standards and protocols are adhered to, driving consistency and quality across the project lifecycle. Your ability to lead BIM coordination efforts and ensure that models are accurate, up-to-date, and fully integrated with project requirements will be instrumental in delivering successful project outcomes.
This role is critical to the successful delivery of high-stakes capital projects, requiring a professional who can operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Senior BIM Consultant, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of BIM delivery within the organization, driving innovation and excellence across the project lifecycle.
What your day may look like:
1. Lead the implementation and maintenance of BIM strategies, ensuring that project objectives and contractual Employer Information Requirements (EIRs) are met.
2. Define, create, and execute comprehensive Information Management (IM) plans, enhancing data management processes and project delivery outcomes.
3. Collaborate with project teams to refine BIM workflows and ensure seamless coordination, data integrity, and alignment with industry best practices.
4. Conduct reviews of contractual requirements, identifying gaps and recommending strategic actions to optimize BIM execution.
5. Utilize Autodesk tools and other digital platforms to drive innovation and efficiency in data management and project execution.
6. Define and manage Exchange Information Requirements (EIR), ensuring all project data exchanges meet required standards and timelines.
7. Collaborate with the Information Management and Project teams to understand their requirements around implementing a process & system to support deliverables meeting the requirements of BIM within the contractual Employers Information Requirements.
8. Review existing proposed contractual requirements to understand the suitability and gaps around following a BIM philosophy for project execution. Review current EDMS and identify the role it can play within the BIM execution philosophy.
Requirements
9. Proven experience in Information Management, with a focus on BIM Coordination and Project Information Management within capital projects.
10. Extensive experience with BIM processes and tools, with proficiency in Autodesk platforms considered advantageous.
11. Deep understanding of ISO 19650, UK BIM Framework guidance, and industry best practices in information management.
12. Strong background in defining and executing IM strategies, with a proven track record in successful project delivery.
13. Experience in developing and maintaining IM governance structures, standards, and procedures.

17. Experience in the Energy sector is highly desirable, particularly in capital projects or infrastructure development.
