Your Role as a KS3 Class Teacher: Plan and deliver differentiated lessons in line with the needs and abilities of KS3 students with SEN. Use a range of teaching strategies to support students with varying learning styles, ensuring they are engaged and making progress. Foster an inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and confident in their learning. Work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external specialists to support students’ learning and development. Monitor and assess students' progress, using data and feedback to inform your teaching and interventions. Build positive relationships with students, parents, and carers to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting student success. Support students in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills alongside their academic learning. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Secondary specialism or SEN qualification preferred. ✅ Experience teaching KS3 students, ideally in a specialist or SEN school. ✅ A strong understanding of SEND, including differentiated teaching, behaviour management, and creating individual learning plans. ✅ Patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to working with students with SEN. ✅ Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support students' holistic development. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
