Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Accounts Assistant / Credit Controller to join our automotive client in Swindon. The successful candidate will support the Head Office Accounts Manager in maintaining financial controls through processing and reconciling high volumes of supplier invoices.
Responsibilities
* Ensure invoices are correctly processed
* Process invoices onto the Purchase Ledger Dynamics system
* Communicate with relevant departments and suppliers regarding discrepancies
* Verify and update bank details for suppliers
* Follow procedures for new supplier account creation
* Conduct monthly supplier payment runs
* Manage petty cash
* Assist with Sales Ledger and Credit Control
* Post sales remittances
* Maintain stationery supplies
* Assist with staff inductions
* Maintain H&S and Compliance filing
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to stay calm under pressure
* Strong prioritization skills
* Ability to follow instructions and procedures
* Good IT skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook
* Proactive with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Additional Information
Salary: circa £28,000 depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
Note: Late finish on the last working day of the month for month-end procedures
Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays, increasing with service
