He loves playing with his toy cars, games of hide and seek, trips to his local park and playground and playing in his garden. Sabir sustained an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and has epilepsy, mild cerebral palsy with left side hemiplegia, global development delay and autism spectrum condition. Sabir strives for his independence and works very hard on his rehabilitation. He attends a local mainstream school and is progressing well, we are keen to continue on this path therefore recruiting a SEN Support Worker to provide 1:1 therapy support at home. Overview of role: The SEN Support Worker will work collaboratively alongside Sabir's therapy team, to implement his therapy programme in a fun, exciting, creative, and imaginative way. This role is focused on supporting Sabir with his rehabilitation, continuing to work on his targets and goals outside of his therapy sessions and with his social activities. The SEN Support Worker will be trained by Sabir's treating therapists and given all the tools to implement his programme, his rehabilitation is based around play and having fun. The weekdays can be flexible to work alongside your availability. Who this job would suit: A creative, think-outside-the-box, positive and proactive SEN Support Worker.
