About the Role
We are seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to support our Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing (APNT) business. This role will be instrumental in leading engineering teams, driving technical excellence, and contributing to the strategic growth of the business. You will work across multiple programmes and R&D studies, delivering innovative solutions for military and civil customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of 10 Systems Engineers, ensuring technical excellence across programmes
Oversee requirements analysis and management, from customer specifications to supplier requirements
Drive systems design and development, collaborating with suppliers and strategic partners
Lead integration, verification, and validation processes, ensuring system compliance
Define systems capability roadmaps, shaping the future of APNT technology and products
Support technical proposal preparation in response to bids
About You
Experience managing systems engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle
Strong leadership in programme delivery and technical proposal preparation
Proven track record in developing systems engineering capabilities across programmes
Experience in line management and functional team leadership
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel within the UK, Europe, and the US
Eligible for MOD Security Clearance (SC minimum)
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of radar systems, modelling & simulation
Experience in certification processes within the system lifecycle
