Scaling will move Devon towards a unified model, at a system level, which takes advantage of common processes, policies, governance, and operating models to deliver a consistent employee experience across the system.
1. Digital will give our frontline workers a consumer-grade experience and simplified route to get support from People Services, through the integration of our people digital landscape and the introduction of an automated and intuitive people portal. It will enable us to have a single source of truth for people data, to support reporting and strategic workforce planning.
The post sits within the People Digital Services Data Architecture Team which forms part of the One Devon People Digital Services covering the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, NHS Devon ICB, University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, Devon Partnership NHS Trust & Livewell Southwest. This post is within the Architecture Team is responsible for delivering a seamless service which supports a single digital front door to People Services across Devon
The People Systems Test Manager will develop and lead the testing requirements for all applications for project/enhancement implementations within the One Devon People Digital Service. This will include ensuring that the agreed functionality provided by suppliers/Product Managers meets the specification provided by Technical Design Authority. The post holder will also work closely with the Technology departments in the planning for the de-commissioning/retirement of legacy/ end of life applications.
As part of the de-commissioning process the post holder will agree with non-clinical staff if data is being migrated or retained. Where data is to be migrated, the post holder will work closely with the relevant roles (internal and external), to agree the requirements of the data migration exercise.
In circumstances where applications are being retained the post holder will work closely with the Interfacing subject matter experts to ensure the agreed / required output is produced. The post holder will also manage their area of the testing, ensuring that all testing is documented and evidenced in line with the People Digital governance.
The post holder will act as an information resource for project team members in respect testing for project delivery and implementation.
The line management responsibility will be to the Data Architect Manager. The post holder will work as part of the delivery team within the One Devon People Digital Programme and will be accountable to Product Managers for the delivery of agreed work packages.
2. The creation and development of test strategy, test plans and all associated testing scripts, scenarios, test result capturing, test reporting and resource plans.
• The creation and development of data migration strategy, data migration plans, data migration test plans, handled exception managing plan, result capturing, reporting and resource planning.
• Assist with the planning and managing of any required interfacing including the testing, planning, results, and reporting
• Contribution to the planning and co-ordination of de-commissioning of workforce applications as a result of implementation of new applications under the One Devon People Digital Programme
• Development of an action plan for all applications addressing data retention, data access and data migration issues.
• Work with internal and external Data Migration subject matter experts to ensure that data that is required to be migrated is successfully migrated.
• Advise and inform the project of any issues arising from the review.
• Risk management in relation to subject matter area and contribution to the management of risks and issues managed by the Project Manager/Project Support
• Work with our suppliers to develop workarounds needed to meet local functionality requirements.
• Ensuring the completion of agreed project work packages with the appropriate Project Manager.
• Engage with HR, administrative and Information Governance staff around the retention and availability of historical data.
• Work within, promote and adhere to existing Change Management policies
