This is a maternity cover role until November 2025, the role is based out of our Witney office in Oxfordshire.

The role
This position is responsible for preparing and delivering monthly financial reports for our UK operations, including locations in Witney and London. The role involves close collaboration with the Group Accountant to ensure accurate and timely Group Financial Reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
Team Management
1. Responsible for the productivity and efficiency of the Financial Accountant and the UK Accountant through consistent management of performance, regular feedback and coaching.
2. Conduct 1-2-1s and quarterly performance reviews with individual team members to provide support and identify development/training needs.
3. Set and review objectives for team and create development plans.
4. Create a culture of engagement, collaboration and open communication within team.
Financial Reporting Responsibilities
1. Lead the preparation of monthly consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow reporting for internal management reporting purposes for the Groups UK and US operating entities, including P&L analytical reviews.
2. Prepare and drive the timetable for the month end close.
3. Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for the UK operating company with support from the Group Accountant.
4. Work closely with external auditors and tax advisors to deliver a successful year end reporting cycle.
5. Maintain robust balance sheets, working in close collaboration with the AP and payroll teams in particular. Undertake periodic balance sheet reviews of operating entities.
6. Work to develop exception reporting resulting in errors being corrected in month.
7. Work closely with commercial finance, FP&A and other functions (eg Sales/Ops teams) to provide them with robust financial data to support their business partnering and decision making.
Tax Responsibilities
1. Work with Deloitte to prepare corporate income tax returns for all UK operating entities and support Group Accountant with respect to Group entities.
2. Ensure that the Group’s transfer pricing policy is fully adhered with in monthly and annual reporting.
Other
1. Promote strong financial compliance across the business (eg partner with AP on PO compliance).
2. Responsible for accurate exceptionals and capex accounting and reporting in line with Group policy.
3. Staff cost reviews with insight into variances against budget and reforecast.
4. Partner with procurement manager on overrides.
5. Complete statistical reporting for operating entities.
6. Work on ad hoc projects to deliver system and process efficiencies and enhancements.
7. Acting as back up to the Group Accountant.
8. Any other ad-hoc duties as required.
About you
You will bring a wealth of experience from working in group multi-currency environments and possess a strong background in external reporting under IFRS.
1. Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
