About the role
* Gain valuable knowledge and experience of
o the electrical engineering system design of Offshore wind projects
o the interfaces from the Transmission System to Onshore/Offshore substations and Wind Turbine Generators
o the criticality and importance of safety in projects from design to operation
o the projects sites by visiting them
* Actively support the team e.g. with
o working across the whole project lifecycle from development through to construction and operation supporting on all aspects to ensure a robust through life design of the project’s electrical system
o the definition of the main electrical system design for the project, covering all aspects of the onshore and offshore HVAC and HVDC systems
o the creation of simulation models for electrical systems and the analysis of electrical system behaviour and grid code compliance for projects
o taking the lead on your own project with a scope to be aligned
Job requirements and experience
* You´re an enrolled student in Electrical Engineering
* Your degree course is eligible for a year in industry placement
* Looking at your current performance overview you are on track to graduate with a 2.1 or higher
* You have very good verbal and written communication skills
* You´re able to coordinate your own workload and to meet tight deadlines
* Working in a diverse team environment and dealing with a range of stakeholders every day is something you feel comfortable with
* You´re open to travel to other sites if needed. Travel expenses will be covered by us

* You have knowledge and/or experience of electrical power engineering, electrical systems and design as well as plant and electrical distribution
