The department Our facilities team provide general office and facilities support to ensure the smooth running of our firm. Their role covers all aspects from delivering post and external by-hands, archiving, reprographics and stationery management. They are the first point of contact for our suppliers and support the set up of meeting rooms, health and safety, refurbishments and repairs, and all other building related matters. Other information The role We are seeking an experienced Facilities Assistant who will report to the Facilities Manager and play a leading role in assisting the team. This role will assist with general office duties such as reprographics, archiving and general post, as well as day-to-day maintenance checks, minor repairs and contributing to the effective operation of the firm. Duties will include but are not limited to: Facilities/administrative support including reprographics, office moves, shredding and archiving Weekly maintenance checks and general upkeep of both floors, including minor repairs where required Liaising with contractors and account managers Assisting the FM with hard and soft service projects Stock check and ordering as required General post admin such as post distribution, collecting deliveries from Reception, delivering incoming faxes The person We are ideally looking for the following skills and experience: An understanding of general office maintenance, including relevant health and safety legislation Exceptional organisational and time management skills Excellent customer service skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility and the willingness to take on additional tasks The ability to work well within a team, as well as under own initiative as required A positive and proactive approach to work Previous experience in a similar Facilities role (minimum 3 years) Additional information The salary is dependent on experience, and we offer a range of benefits including 25 days annual leave (plus a day off over Christmas and for your birthday and the option to buy or sell up to 3 days per year); pension; income protection; life assurance; private health insurance; long service awards; health screening; a wellbeing allowance and an employee assistance programme.
