Learning Assistant - Stonemasonry Ref: 2425/119 Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: £29,046 to £30,960 per annum. Plus generous benefits including: • 45 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures) • Generous Occupational Pension Scheme About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our growing Stonemasonry team as a Learning Assistant. The ideal person will be hard working, have stonemasonry skills and is looking for a career change. The role involves setting up the workshop, including preparing materials, managing and supervising our stonemasonry training workshop and supporting all stonemasonry students with their practical activities. The day-to-day duties include preparing training workstations, ordering stonemasonry supplies, cutting stone, working with students, developing risk assessments / safe systems of work and general workshop housekeeping. This is a key role within the stonemasonry team and the successful person will have the opportunity to help prepare our apprentices for their assessments / EPA and work closely with the stone team. About the Person If you have experience in the construction industry as a stonemason and have a passion for supporting students to achieve their potential, we want to hear from you. Ideally your background will be focused on the construction industry. You will be a self-starter, able to work with young people in a supportive and instructive manner and enjoy working as part of a large team.
