Support Worker Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Supported Living service in WS12 2EP. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults with complex needs.
About the Role:
* Job Title: Support Worker
* Pay Rate: £12.40 per hour
* Shifts: Nights
* Full-time: 42 hours per week
Duties:
* Provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, including those with profound and complex needs, to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
* Assist with basic daily tasks such as medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and paperwork.
* Offer emotional and practical support to enable individuals to access community facilities and participate in community groups.
* Foster robust relationships with individuals in care to promote independence and improve quality of life.
* Empower individuals to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.
Person Specifications:
* A female candidate is required for this role.
* Experience within the care industry, ICSs, or equivalent is essential.
* Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions, complex care needs, and challenging behaviours is necessary.
* A full UK manual driving licence is preferred.
* Experience with EUPD is a must.
* The ability to multitask is essential.
* Good time management, organisation, attention to detail, and flexibility are required.
* IT literacy is necessary.
* A positive 'can do' attitude, good communication skills, and a compassionate, caring personality are essential.
* Possessing a genuine passion for making a real difference in people's lives and being able to manage challenging behaviour and conflict are required.
