Job Title: Electrical Supervisor
PBS (Semco UK) is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join the Alwyn team on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* The successful candidate will serve as the site technical focal point for their discipline, taking charge of technical decisions when necessary.
* They will supervise electrical planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance, ensuring SAP work orders are correctly resourced within target timeframes.
* The role involves overseeing all resources, including scaffold, materials, and rigging, to facilitate work execution according to plan.
* The Electrical Supervisor will collect work permits, including those for vendors, and control relevant routine work instruction templates.
* Responsibilities also include deploying resources, allocating and evaluating work, and ensuring accuracy of technical information sheets.
* Conducting work group briefings and promoting effective working relations with Electrical Technicians is crucial to this position.
* The successful candidate will assess overall electrical competence of relevant staff in conjunction with the discipline site leader.
* Annual assessments of personnel and engaging with Electrical Technicians to discuss rota changes will be essential duties.
* Promoting flexibility during shutdown periods and carrying out overtime tasks will also be required.
* The Electrical Supervisor will escalate Electrical Technician performance issues and remain accountable for taking technical decisions when necessary.
* This role requires the ability to carry out electrical activities, investigate breakdowns, and conduct initial fault finding.
* Additionally, recommending changes to spares requirements and assisting in the commissioning of plant and equipment will be part of the job.
* Knowledgeable on-the-job technical and safety training of Electrical Technicians is also a responsibility of the role.
* The successful candidate will be accountable for the timekeeping of their team and assessing overtime work in safe conditions.
Requirements:
* A minimum of experience in a similar position in Oil and Gas is required.
* Oil and Gas Maintenance experience is also necessary.
* Prior experience with electrical equipment and systems such as generator units, control equipment, and protection devices is essential.
* Familiarity with high-tension switchgear, HV cables, control cables, and protection devices is also required.
* Experience with explosion-protected equipment, testing equipment, meggers, AVO's, multimeters, and the ability to test and fault-find on HV and LV circuits is necessary.
* The successful candidate must be able to modify settings of protection equipment for authorized changes in design and read single-line schematic drawings.
* Experience in using 'Safe Systems of Work' (PTW), including procedures, is also required.
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
