Water Treatment Technician Job Overview
Our client, who works on every aspect within the building services industry covering over 180 sites across London and the surrounding areas for blue-chip clients, is currently hiring for a new Water Treatment Technician to join their expanding team. They are offering a salary of circa 38,000 depending on experience, an extended holiday package, and private healthcare. The overall duties for the Water Treatment Technician will include visiting various sites, taking water samples from hot/cold water systems and sending these to the lab for TVC and Legionella testing. Carrying out visual inspections of water storage tanks and on-site testing of sealed systems, heating, chilled water and condenser water, and completing reports ensuring compliance is carried out in line with regulations.
The ideal technician will be based in or around the M25 to meet the client's needs. You will mainly work in offices, shopping centres, and warehouses. The successful Water Treatment Technician will also have the opportunity to grow within the company, taking on a more account management role with a team of technicians working under your direction. This will involve the day-to-day planning of site visits for technicians, pricing extra work, building customer relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Water Treatment Technician Job Requirements
1. Understanding of water hygiene principles and relevant regulations (e.g., ACOP L8)
2. Ability to interpret water analysis results
3. Technical skills for operating water hygiene equipment
4. Strong attention to detail and good record-keeping practices
5. Excellent communication skills to interact with clients
6. Physical ability to access and work in various locations within buildings
Water Treatment Technician Salary & Benefits
1. Basic salary circa 38,000 - 40,000
2. 22 days annual leave + 8 days bank holiday
3. 25 days annual leave after 5 years' service and 30 days annual leave after 10 years' service
