We are delighted to be supporting an established business based in Bicester. We are on the lookout for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the team. This role will see you supporting the business across multiple sites inside and outside of the UK. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact within their small in-house accounts team. This position offers a diverse range of responsibilities that will keep you engaged and challenged.
This opportunity comes with an annual salary of up to £34,000 dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounts Receivable Management - verifying sales invoices against purchase orders, sending to customers, processing credit notes, managing credit control, chasing debtors, resolving customer queries, and ensuring timely collection of payments.
2. Accounts Payable Administration - obtaining necessary authorisations for purchase invoices, conducting supplier statement reconciliations, and managing payment runs.
3. Expense Processing - managing staff expenses, company credit cards, and processing petty cash expenses.
4. Bank Reconciliations - reconciling bank accounts, processing supplier payments, and entering bank payments and exchange rates.
5. Financial Reporting - assisting in preparing monthly prepayment and accrual spreadsheets, and supporting the external audit process, particularly during year-end review.
6. Payroll Support - preparing and posting payroll journals.
7. Stock Management - maintaining the stock spreadsheet, and keeping the daily cash flow up-to-date.
8. General Administrative Support - taking on a variety of ad-hoc tasks to support the team and the wider business.
Candidate Experience, Skills and Attributes:
1. Minimum of two years experience in a varied Accounts Assistant or similar role.
2. Tech-savvy with good Excel skills.
3. Accurate in data processing, reconciliation work, and financial reporting.
4. Confident and professional communicator, both written and verbal.
5. Excellent time management skills, able to prioritise tasks, and ensure a high standard of work.
6. Collaborative and supportive team player.
7. Able to bring a proactive approach to achieve results and continuously improve processes.
