As our EHCP Review and Progression Officer, you will be at the heart of our mission to provide timely, well-planned reviews of EHCPs and to create clear, achievable progression routes for our learners. You'll work hand in hand with young people and their families, education support staff, tutors and external agencies to ensure every EHCP not only reflects current progress but also paves the way for future success.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Timely EHCP Reviews: Manage and coordinate comprehensive reviews of EHCPs to ensure each plan accurately reflects a learner's progress and future needs.
* Partnership & Advocacy Work: Work closely with young people and their families to ensure that their voices are central in every review, empowering them to shape their educational journey.
* Collaborative Planning: Engage with education support staff, tutors and external agencies to develop clear progression routes that support academic achievement and personal development.
* Compliance & Best Practice: Ensure that all activities adhere to statutory regulations and align with Service Area, Directorate and wider Council guidance.
What We're Looking For
* A dedicated professional with experience in EHCP management, special educational needs or related fields.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with young people, families and a multi-disciplinary team.
* A proactive, solution-oriented approach with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* A deep commitment to upholding statutory regulations and implementing best practices in education.
Why join us?
* Make a real impact: Your work will directly influence the educational and personal growth of young people, helping them overcome challenges and unlock their potential.
* Innovative Environment: Be part of a dynamic, supportive team that embraces creativity and strives for excellence in every aspect of education.
* Inclusive Culture: Join a workplace where collaboration, diversity and the well-being of every learner are at the forefront of everything we do.
If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and have the expertise to ensure that every EHCP review is a stepping stone to success, we'd love to hear from you.
