Position Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and specialists to provide tailored support, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment. This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of young learners. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, following individual education plans (IEPs). Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills. Help with classroom management, including preparing resources and organizing learning activities. Attend training sessions and professional development workshops to stay updated on best practices in SEN support. Collaborate with other professionals, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, to provide holistic support. Requirements: A relevant qualification in Education, Childcare, or SEN support (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent). Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. An understanding of various learning difficulties, such as autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and speech and language impairments.
