Public Markets Governance and Controls Partner

A bit about the job:
This role supports Public Markets and ESG/Sustainability teams to deliver a strong 1st line global risk and controls framework in Aviva Investors. Business Control Partners work on behalf of the business to ensure the following are completed: Risk Assessments, Business Standards, representing Public Market and ESG at governance and controls committees, completeness of core process documentation including the identification of and deployment of key controls, and maintenance of the risk and control system ICARE. In the role, you will be required to collaborate with the Public Market & ESG Teams to develop and implement effective control measures and you will also need to monitor and assess the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying areas for improvement.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACA) is a plus.
* Proven experience in a control or operational risks role within the financial services industry, preferably asset management industry.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrable project management skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements for investment management companies.
