What You’ll Do
1. Site Technical Management – Support sites to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
2. Audit Preparation & Leadership – Manage preparation for, and lead, BRC and customer audits, ensuring all standards are met.
3. Supplier & Customer Liaison – Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers and regulatory bodies.
4. Technical Compliance & Standards – Oversee the implementation of Cranswick’s Compliance Management System (CMS) and ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and customer requirements.
5. Risk & Crisis Management – Identify risks, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
6. Team Leadership & Development – Coach and develop site-based technical teams, providing guidance and expertise.
7. Project Management – Support and implement group-wide food safety, quality, and culture strategies.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a proactive and adaptable individual with strong technical expertise in the food industry. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of retailer and regulatory standards, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Technical Manager role within the food industry.
2. Strong knowledge of retailer codes of practice, BRC standards, and food safety regulations.
3. Level 4 HACCP, Food Hygiene, and Listeria qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
4. Experience in leading audits and managing technical compliance.
5. Proven ability to coach and develop teams.
6. Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
7. IT proficient with experience in retailer and internal reporting systems.
8. Full driving licence and flexibility to travel to different sites as needed.
