The Role
The Managed Services Principal & Team Lead serves as the technical lead for the Dedicated Managed Services Pod. This role is accountable for ensuring that their team operates effectively, professionally, in a timely manner and in the best interest of NuHarbor and our clients. As a senior technical resource, this role is responsible for collaborating with management and other senior technical leaders to create strategic roadmaps and driving priorities to meet business objectives.

* Monitors progress of operational projects and ensures alignment with company objectives.
* Acts as a thought partner to the Security Operations Manager, providing data, operational updates, insights, and recommendations.
* Directs work and effectively coordinates daily operations across the team, ensuring optimal time management and prioritization of tasks.
* Responsible, with the manager, to instruct, coach, develop and manage performance of team members.
* Serves as the primary liaison between the team and internal/external stakeholders.
* Prepares and reviews internal and external communications, including reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
* Fosters a positive organizational culture through effective communication and engagement strategies.
* Mentors and supports the professional development of team members.
* Promotes a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
* Drives initiatives to enhance team performance and morale.
Your foundation. The requirements for this role:
* Bachelor's Degree and eight (8) or more years working as a technical and people leader in Information Technology.
o Typical Degrees: Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related field(s).
+ In lieu of a degree, two (2) years of experience in a related technology field and relevant industry certifications are required.
o Three or more (3+) years of experience should have been directly working in Splunk environments.
o Demonstrated experience with security event triaging and threat hunting executed through both a SIEM and EDR toolset.
o Demonstrated knowledge of Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, and Splunk Enterprise Security.
o Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
o Strong understanding of Incident Response phases and demonstrated experience responding to security incidents.
o Strong understanding of security concepts with a demonstrated ability to coach others.
o Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and balance workload.
o Uses an advanced understanding of, and ability to communicate, security technologies to mitigate cyber risks.
o High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
o Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
o Must be a citizen of the United States.
Additional capabilities that will differentiate you for this role:
* Understanding of various cybersecurity regulatory frameworks (NIST 800-53, IRS Pub 1075, CMMC, etc.)
* Holds at least two relevant industry certifications (GCFA, GCIH, CEH, CISSP, etc.)
* Two (2) years of experience with Tenable and/or CrowdStrike solutions.
* Experience working in an Agile development process.
* Successful experience as a project or program manager, influencing and collaborating with a cross-functional team to align to specific goals.
* Experience with RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and AWS.
* Ability to interact and manage the Linux system via CLI.
* Strong understanding of networking concepts and architecture.
* Experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) content development and automation implementations.
* Proven talent for communicating complex topics in an easily digestible manner.
* Experience with data science techniques (clustering, anomaly detection, data normalization, etc.)
* Four (4+) years' experience with query language such as Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL), or Kusto Query Language (KQL).
* Demonstrated experience as a Team Lead or Program Manager in a security operation.
* Experience working in multiple cybersecurity disciplines (i.e. RedSec, CTAC, Information Assurance, Engineering, etc.)
