After 26 years in the Charity, including five as CEO, our current leader will retire in summer 2025. This opens an exciting opportunity to head Caritas Care, a dynamic and well-established charity in the North West. The Trustees seek a visionary leader to drive our mission forward.

Operating across Cumbria, Lancashire, and Greater Manchester, Caritas Care is a values-driven charity committed to improving lives. Our services include adoption and fostering, disability support, rehabilitation, and community programs to help individuals thrive.
The Role
As CEO, you will lead the organisation with strategic vision, ensuring our services make a lasting impact. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, responsibilities include:
* Providing inspirational leadership and upholding our core values.
* Developing strategic plans to enhance and expand services.
* Strengthening relationships with stakeholders, funders, and partners.
* Ensuring financial sustainability and securing funding opportunities.
* Maintaining governance and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
* Supporting and inspiring staff and volunteers to foster a culture of excellence.
About You
We seek a passionate and experienced leader with:
* Senior management experience in the charity, social care, or public sector.
* Strong strategic planning, financial, and operational management skills.
* A collaborative approach with the ability to engage stakeholders.
* A commitment to inclusion, equality, and social justice.

Main Responsibilities
* Leadership & Strategy – Lead the charity with purpose, ensuring high-quality services and mission alignment.
* Governance & Compliance – Uphold charity and company law, safeguarding standards, and effective governance.
* Financial Management – Oversee budgets, ensure financial stability, and manage resources effectively.
* People & Culture – Foster a positive work environment, ensuring staff development and safeguarding compliance.
* Operational Efficiency – Maintain high standards in service delivery, health and safety, and regulatory adherence.
* External Relations – Represent Caritas Care in relevant networks, build partnerships, and enhance our public profile.
