Job Purpose: To assist in the development, organisation, delivery and course management of high-quality teaching and learning in the area of Prep for Life. Skills and Qualifications: Full Teaching qualification (Certificate of Education, PGCE or equivalent) or currently studying towards. Hold a specialist Level 4/5 Maths qualification (or from a related discipline e.g. Engineering). Minimum Level 2 English/Literacy qualification. Be able to evidence successful experience of teaching groups of learners with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities (LDD) (which demonstrates knowledge and practice of effective and inclusive group teaching and learning strategies). Be able to evidence successful experience of teaching Functional Skills maths and GCSE Maths. Have a thorough knowledge of GCSE Maths specifications and/or Functional Skills standards Have knowledge of Entry Level curricula / qualifications Experience of innovative curriculum development, including use of ILT Be able to demonstrate the ability to plan, deliver and evaluate high quality, motivational and inclusive learning experiences for learners with LDD Wirral Met College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
