Our Home First & Reablement service supports people return home after a stay in hospital. This helps them continue their recovery in their own surroundings – regaining their ability to live as independently as possible.

We are recruiting experienced and new to care Rehabilitation Assistants in Forest of Dean.
As a Health Care Support Worker, you will work closely with other health care professionals, delivering essential clinical and personal care. You will ensure that our service user needs are met and assist the team in maintaining high standards of care delivery.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential. If you are new to care and hold no experience in healthcare, then we offer a fantastic development opportunity with a structured development plan (including achieving the Care Certificate). You will progress from a pay band 2 to pay band 3 on achievement of the Care Certification.
This position is for part time shifts 7am - 1pm, 4 on, 4 off.
Our service runs 24/7 and all our Rehabilitation Assistant roles.
You don’t need any previous caring experience – all we ask is that you:
* enjoy working with people;
* understand what motivates people;
* are comfortable being involved in practical, sometimes personal and intimate care provision for people;
* have a desire to learn and develop skills;
* are able to work alone and in a team setting;
The support we provide includes washing, dressing, cooking meals, accessing community services, arranging delivery services, improving mobility and balance so patients can safely use steps or stairs, walk in and outdoors, or use transport.
As this is a community-based role, a full Driving Licence valid for the UK and access to a vehicle insured for business use is essential.
