Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Elastic is currently partnered with a well-established organization in Aberdeen who are looking to grow their commissioning team over the next year. We are looking for engineers with a background in electrical installation to come onboard as a travelling commissioning engineer.
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a critical role in the installation and testing of specialist electrical equipment. Your role will encompass electrical installation, commissioning, FATs, and servicing at customer sites. When not in the field, you will focus on in-house testing and documentation.
The Commissioning Engineer position will be field-based for about 6-7 months a year, with the rest being split between home and office working. If you would like to be in the field more, the company can put you on field-based projects for the remainder of the year.
Overtime and overseas wage uplift is on offer for this position along with all your expenses being covered when travelling.
Essential Experience
1. NVQ Level 3 or above in Electrical Engineering or something similar
2. Hands-on experience installing/servicing electrical equipment (production machinery, switchgear, battery systems, etc.)
3. Able to read, understand and follow electrical schematics
4. Willingness to travel globally
5. Fluency in English
6. Full driver’s license
Desirable Experience
1. Experience installing/commissioning power equipment like transformers, switchgear, load banks, etc.
