About the Role
Located on the mezzanine of the hotel is spaQ, our designer spa concept. spaQ is seeking an experienced and devoted full-time Spa Operations Manager to join the team. With six treatment spaces, Hammam-inspired steam room and a full range of luxurious treatment experiences.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role at a 5-star spa or resort, along with a diploma in beauty or massage therapy. This hands-on management position involves overseeing all aspects of the business, including front-of-house operations and reception duties. Responsibilities also include staff management, rostering, payroll, stock orders, stocktaking, and, at times, providing spa treatments.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
* Ensure the smooth operation of the Spa Reception by maintaining the facilities and adhering to service standards.
* Welcoming and departing spa guests and responding to both online enquiries and telephone calls in the most professional, timely and helpful manner.
* Support Management and assist in leading the therapist and reception team in delivering exceptional customer service standards and premium spa experience.
* Be visible and engaged in day-to-day business and leadership activities.
* Understand the business's performance and be sales-focused, with the ability to upsell products and services while supporting the retail sales initiatives of the department.
* Communicate effectively with strong written and verbal skills.
* Manage relationships competently, provide mentorship, and continue to build and empower the team.
* Exhibit exemplary customer service skills, ensuring that guests feel welcomed.
* Demonstrate the ability to multitask, responding to both online inquiries and phone calls warmly, professionally, and promptly.
* Possess excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
* Be confident, detail-oriented, highly organized, motivated, reliable, and accountable.
* Maintain excellent presentation and grooming standards.
This position is Full Time and suited to someone that is available to work weekends.
