Bolsover District Council is a dynamic and ambitious organisation that takes pride in delivering excellent services – now is an exciting time to join our growing in-house legal team – we are a small but essential part of the authority and you will play an important role providing services to clients across the Council.
The Council has recently been awarded £15million in Regeneration Funding and a schedule of projects across the District have been approved. The projects include improvements to the public realm around the district, enhancing shop fronts to help make the area more visually appealing to attract shoppers and visitors and the establishment of community and creative hubs.
To accommodate the work involved in delivering these projects we are expanding our legal team and are seeking an experienced Solicitor/Legal Executive. The role will primarily be responsible for delivering the legal support to the Regeneration Funding projects through to their completion. We are looking for people with particular knowledge and experience in the following areas: commercial property, land acquisitions and sales, contracts and procurement, funding agreements and subsidy control. You will also be required to undertake other legal work as may be reasonably required.
We are looking for fresh thinking and enthusiastic staff who will support the Team’s ambition and passion for making a difference across the Council, providing a high quality legal service.
The Council operates a flexible working policy with hybrid working options with office based time required as and when necessary.
You will need to:
