We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and tenacious European Marketing Senior Manager to drive the brand strategy growth plan, joining the European leadership team to accelerate growth of the European Business.
The Senior Brand Development Manager is expected to develop and deliver European Brand Building Strategy, in collaboration with International Center of Excellence, including portfolio and OBPPC strategy and consumer communication & media strategy.
With a robust learning insight plan, the role involves leading cross functional teams on identification and prioritization of 3 year innovation Pipeline and delivery of key strategic innovation projects from ideation to launch.
The role is directly responsible for the execution of the brand plans for UK, through agencies and distribution partners.
This position reports directly to the European Managing Director with two direct reports and 1 intern; based at our European Headquarters in Bracknell, UK with 2 days working from home possible.
A Day in the Life...
* Drive the Brand Marketing and Innovation Strategy for Europe, with UK as the lead market.
* Liaison with International Marketing COE to develop Europe Brand Strategy in line with Global Brand Vision & Strategy.
* Champion consumer and shopper-centric approach in brand building & innovation balancing strategic rigor and executional pragmatism.
* Lead the development of European & UK Portfolio Architecture and Innovation Pipeline that balance Global Brand Positioning/Strategy and Local market/consumer needs. Direct leadership of EU Strategic projects. Responsible for identifying consumer insights, turning them into effective, consumer-relevant, and brand-building concepts, and leading the consumer validation process.
* Lead the Development of Annual Brand Plan and Communication campaigns for Europe, working collaboratively with key commercial, marketing and agency stakeholders.
* Direct responsibility for leadership & delivery of UK Brand plan. Drive a strategic approach to shopper marketing and in trade activation together with UK Commercial teams.
* Team Leadership of 1 France-based Brand Manager and 1 UK-Based Innovation/ project Manager and 1 intern.
* Contribute to the European Long Term growth strategy and Global Brand/Marketing/Innovation priorities.
* Responsible for Europe & UK Marketing budget and of driving continuous improvement in marketing effectiveness and efficiency, including choice of partner agencies.
* Strong collaborative cross functional relationship with the Global Marketing Center of Excellence, innovation Technical and R&D teams, Commercial teams, as well as external distribution and co-packing partners.
* Contribute to high-energy and high performance atmosphere and maintain positive outlook and momentum.
* Support UK commercial team with Innovation and Brand presentations for annual plans. Customer facing on occasions.
Decision-Making Authority/Accountability Level:
This position operates with some guidance and direction from European General Manager but is expected to be a solid strategic thinker and a doer, self-reliant and self-motivated. Ability to lead and delegate through coaching essential.

* A Business leader who creates and communicates a clear and insight based vision and generates momentum for the cross functional team and the European business.
* Self-starter who will own strategic projects and brand plan through to execution and launch and can also operate at a higher strategic level.
* A doer, who takes pride in seeing projects through from concept to on-shelf success.
* Insight into Concept experience, Project management and planning experience.
* Takes pride in developing direct report through empowerment and coaching.
What We Are Looking For:
* 10+ years of experience in Marketing with at least 5 years in a Innovation development role; Must possess a live working knowledge of Brand Innovation practices and principles.
* Experience in Strategic thinking and portfolio development.
* Project Leadership Ability, from Ideation through to on-shelf.
* Inspire cross functional team.
* Ideally with European or Global Brand experience.
* FMCG experience required. Beverage experience welcome but not essential.
* Educational experience typically gained through completing a bachelor’s or MBA degree in marketing or business.
* French as a 2nd European Language would be welcome, or a demonstrated strong European sensitivity, as the role requires regular interface with European / French colleagues.
