About You – Their Ideal Candidate:
They are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in practice, demonstrating proficiency in handling complex accounts for a range of clients. While high-level qualifications such as ACA or ACCA are desirable, they value practical experience and expertise above all else.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels.
* Several years of experience in a practice environment, with a strong background in preparing accounts for small businesses with turnovers of up to £7 million.
* Professional qualifications such as Chartered or Certified status are advantageous but not essential; practical experience and expertise are highly valued.
* Previous experience in mentoring or training junior staff members is preferred.

Main Responsibilities:
* Preparation of accounts for limited companies, focusing on tackling challenging sets of accounts while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Acting as a dedicated Client Support Manager for a diverse portfolio of clients, cultivating strong relationships and providing exceptional service tailored to their individual needs.
* Supervising and mentoring junior staff members, offering guidance and support in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and VAT returns.
* Providing expert advice and training to clients on bookkeeping software, particularly Xero, to streamline their financial processes and enhance efficiency.
* Offering on-the-job training and support to team members, facilitating their professional development and progression within the firm.
* The successful candidate would be expected to represent the firm and its values when building relationships with existing clients and helping to sign up new clients.
Salary and Benefits:
