Job Description
1st/2nd Line Support Technician required. Our client is a privately owned and highly successful Logistics, Construction and Maintenance business, employing over 2,000 people in the UK. They are now looking for an experienced 1st/2nd Line Technician to join their IT team of 6, based in Paisley.
The successful candidate will be working with the in-house IT team to maintain the infrastructure of our communications, networking and collaborative tools and processes. Customer service skills are essential as well as excellent knowledge of Azure.
Position Overview
1. Act as a point of contact for calls / emails from staff regarding IT issues
2. Receiving, logging and managing calls from internal staff in person or via email
3. Troubleshooting of IT related problems from in-house software to hardware.
4. Troubleshoot network issues
5. Take ownership of calls and provide on-site support
6. Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries
7. Liaise with in-house technical and operational staff pro-actively.
8. Manage endpoint device deployment including configuration and asset updates.
Position Requirements
9. 3+ years in 1st/2nd line support
10. Excellent knowledge of Azure
11. Excellent knowledge of Office 365
12. Experience working with Cetrix
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
14. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
15. Advanced knowledge of PC hardware & software
16. Self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Position Remuneration
17. Monday to Friday 8am – 17:00pm / 9am – 18:00pm
18. Salary £21,000 – £27,000 (dependant on experience)
19. 28 days holiday including bank holiday
