Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer

Salary: £30,000 per annum + commission
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer on behalf of a leading engineering client in the manufacturing industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded individual looking to grow their career in sales, with the potential to progress into an Area Sales Manager role.

Our client is a market leader in the design and manufacture of cutting-edge engineering equipment. The European division, based in Droitwich, serves a vast market of clients across Europe.
Role Overview:
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will support Area Sales Managers by providing vital technical expertise and customer support throughout the sales process. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships, contributing to capital equipment sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The position involves some UK and European travel, as well as participation in trade shows and exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist Area Sales Managers in achieving sales targets.
2. Visit customers alongside Sales Managers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
3. Provide pre-sales technical support and guidance to clients.
4. Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and internal contract documentation.
5. Serve as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring effective communication.
6. Collaborate with internal engineering and sales teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
7. Monitor customer orders to ensure timely delivery.
8. Provide after-sales support and technical assistance when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification or relevant industry experience.
2. Experience in technical sales or a similar role is highly desirable.
3. A full UK driving license and passport are required for this position.
Skills & Competencies:
1. Strong technical background with excellent problem-solving skills.
2. Ability to build long-term customer relationships.
3. Proficient in reading engineering layout drawings.
4. Excellent presentation, communication, and consultative sales skills.
5. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Benefits Package:
1. Competitive base salary of £30,000 per annum.

Working Hours:
1. 37 hours per week:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (30-minute lunch break)
Friday: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
