Our client is a growing Top 40 accountancy practice who provide expert solutions for entrepreneurial businesses and private individuals in Central and Southern England. We have a new opportunity for a Audit Manager to join their Audit team. This is a permanent full-time or part-time role with hybrid and flexible working options. This role will involve travel to a number of offices within the Group.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and apply your technical and commercial knowledge to provide expert advice and exceed client expectations.
* Manage a diverse portfolio of clients and become their primary point of contact. Your portfolio will consist of both new and established clients, and you will be encouraged to develop further revenue streams within it as well as helping to bring in new clients to the firm.
* Respond to ad hoc client queries.
* Lead and manage audit assignments to completion, managing people and delivery of the assignment, budgets, billing recovery, and client engagement and satisfaction.
* Provide support on tenders, proposals, and other business development activities to promote the company and develop your profile externally.
* Contribute to the management of the audit team, audit procedures, and, more widely, to the whole compliance team.
* Line manage a small number of more junior team members.
* Consider technical audit and accounting developments and provide training to ensure the team are updated so that high standards are maintained.
Requirements:
* ACCA / ACA qualified with at least 3 years post-qualified experience in a UK practice environment.
* At least 6 years' UK practice experience.
* Previous experience operating at (Assistant) Manager level.
* Proven experience of producing high quality audits.
* Aptitude to assist with business development activities.
* Strong self-starter with a commercial approach.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.

Salary:
