General role description
We are looking for an experienced electrician who is able to undertake all aspects of electrical installations, Electric Vehicle charger installations, minor works and test and inspection where applicable. The role will include carrying out project works on electrical projects in a range of sectors.

Duties and responsibilities
Core responsibilities will include:
* Working closely with the Project team, sub-contractors and Project Manager to meet completion targets set for a particular project.
* Review and work to electrical drawings e.g., installation, circuit diagrams and line schematics.
* Manage installations.
* Produce a quality end product first time with no re-work required.
* Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
* Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
* Work at height to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures (using appropriate safety equipment and adhering to safe working procedures).
* Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
* Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
* Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and standards.
General duties and responsibilities will include:

Essential Qualifications
* BS7671 18th Edition: Wiring Regulations
* NVQ L3 : Electrical Installations
* L3: Electrical Inspection and Testing
Essential Skills and Knowledge
Essential skills, knowledge and experience required to fulfil the role include, but are not limited to:
* Fully qualified electrician with skill in the installation and testing of all types of electrical equipment and components
* Knowledge of applicable electrical standards and regulations
* Must be able to work nights and stay away from home as some work will be carried out outside of normal working hours Mon-Fri.
* Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong customer care focus
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to problem solve
* Adapt to technical changes within the industry and attend training courses should they be required.
* To understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time
* Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience required to fulfil the role include, but are not limited to:
* SSSTS Accreditation – desirable, not essential – full training will be given
* IPAF – Desirable and full training will be given
* PASMA – Desirable and full training will be given
