Middlesbrough Council are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Health and Safety Advisor to join their Health and Safety Unit. You will work as part of the council’s corporate health and safety function covering operational health and safety, strategic health and safety and learning development. You will be working a blend of home and office-based work within Middlesbrough Council. The post will involve some site-based travel and work. The successful candidate will be involved in delivering a wide range of health and safety functions including: The review of corporate policies and procedures. Development and review of risk assessments and health and safety website content. Training design and delivery. Development and delivery of targeted health and safety audits and initiatives. Provision of health and safety advice to managers in different risk areas of the business. Delivery of fire risk assessments and accident screening and investigations across a range of council service functions. What we offer: A blend of home and office-based work.
