SRG is seeking a Junior Operations Analyst for a leading multinational consumer goods and personal care company that primarily produces paper-based products. The role involves providing operational financial support to the Mill, including processing various financial and mill requirements daily and monthly.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Finance & Operations
o Ensure production is reconciled before stock adjustments and finance processing for paper mill and finishing production.
o Update scheduled hours in SAP prior to weekly/monthly finance processing.
o Support mill operations with reports on efficiencies, output rates, and performance analysis.
o Follow and action weekly/monthly financial processes related to material management, supporting relevant teams.
o Prepare and explain mill performance reports at month end, including efficiency, output, and cost analysis.
o Understand all site processes and serve as a site expert in P2020 reporting guidelines.
o Support the mill PSA position, including holiday and sickness cover.
2. Mill Systems
o Serve as a key user/SME for site application systems such as PIMS, SAP, and TekTerm.
o Manage and classify PIMS reports according to P2020 requirements.
o Support site data management and communication via SharePoint.
o Develop reports for PIMS to support departmental objectives.
3. Internal Control
o Support the application of financial controls and ensure compliance with policies.
o Perform routine control checks and support compliance testing.
o Identify control issues and collaborate with the Internal Control Specialist for resolution.
o Document control procedures and update logs accordingly.
4. Planning
o Support RFS cycle design, updates, and effective communication.
o Build relationships with site leadership for planning support.
5. Site Access
o Manage site system access, including SAP and SharePoint.
o Conduct user access reviews in line with control requirements.
6. Accounts Payable
o Support Accounts Payable queries and one-off payments.
o Assist the Purchasing team with knowledge and communication.
Experience and Qualifications
The candidate should have at least 'A' Level (or equivalent) education. Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
Technical/Professional Skills
* Proficiency in Excel is essential.
* Experience with SAP is desirable.
* Willingness to work towards a professional financial qualification such as CIMA foundation or AAT is preferred.
