Job summary Are you a Treatment Room Practice Nurse looking for an exciting new opportunity? Elgar House Surgery are looking for a Motivated and Friendly person to provide a first class nursing service to practice patients, working closely with healthcare colleagues and in collaboration with the GPs on a Mon,Tues ,Weds and Fri 28 hours per week. Main duties of the job Practice independently in accordance with RCN code of conduct and with reference to practice guidelines, referring appropriately to GPs Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care Ensure continuation of own personal and professional development Undertake patient nursing services including: Wound treatments, applying and removing dressings and sutures Administering immunisations and vaccinations including children immunisations Providing patient health education and advice, including travel advice Taking patient samples, swabs and specimens, checking temperatures and blood pressures Carrying out physical examinations, investigatory procedures and cervical smears Share responsibility for ensuring effective intra-team and practice-wide communication Participate in regular nursing / healthcare team meetings Provide professional advice on practice developments, recommending changes to working practices in line with evidence-based knowledge About us Our team consists of 4 GP partners, 7 Salaried GPs, a Clinical Pharmacist, 2 NPs, 3 PNs, 3 HCAs, a very supportive management and administrative team. About us: We are a training practice for ST1, ST2, ST3 and FY2 doctors. We have a list size of just under 15,000 patients.
