Higher Level Teaching Assistant Location: Perry Barr B42, Birmingham Pay Rate: £(Apply online only) per week after deductions Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Start Date: 28/4/2025 Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm Long Term Futures is seeking an experienced HLTA or a highly skilled Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in B42, Birmingham. This role focuses on supporting SEN students, ensuring they receive the tailored guidance needed to thrive in a mainstream setting. As a HLTA, you will lead small group interventions, provide targeted 1:1 support, and assist with lesson planning and delivery. You will also take on class cover responsibilities during PPA time, working closely with teachers to maintain a high standard of education for all pupils. Key Responsibilities: Deliver structured 1:1 and group interventions for SEN pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Provide in-class support, adapting activities to meet individual learning needs. Lead planned lessons during teacher PPA time. Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCO. Encourage engagement and interaction for children with additional needs, promoting inclusion. Assist with literacy, numeracy, and social development interventions.To be successful in this role, you will need: A HLTA qualification (preferred) or Level 3 STL with significant experience. Experience working in a primary school setting. A strong understanding of working with SEN pupils, particularly those with ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs.
