Job Title: Estimator.
Location: Morley/Leeds.
Salary: Up to £50K.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial interpretation and advice to the CEO, Ops Manager, and Contract Manager.
2. Development and maintenance of the Supply Chain to ensure that commercial and contractual arrangements are back-to-back wherever reasonably practical with partnering agreements.
3. Procuring lifecycle replacement work and variations within the current portfolio of 35 health centres across the North West and London, which is a key enabler for our clients to deliver patient care.
4. Ensuring robust and appropriate procurement and contract arrangements are in place, relevant to the value of works (e.g., GPA and JCT).
5. Support and handover of new projects to the operational team for delivery, with ongoing contract and financial management of projects during project life.
6. Ensuring all project documentation record keeping complies with arrangements in line with the project and lifecycle manual as well as the Facilities Management Agreement and the Project Agreement.
7. Providing commercial advice and guidance regarding contractual requirements for both contractual and commercial challenges as well as lifecycle work and pre-tender estimate advice.
8. Ownership of the lifecycle process ensuring that the contracts adhere to the lifecycle process.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Good working and practical knowledge of PFI/LIFT contracts and funding arrangements.
2. PPP/PFI Experience - preferable.
3. Minimum 2 years’ experience post-graduation as Quantity Surveyor or Estimator with experience in projects from £50k-£1m and use of JCT contract.
4. Completion of IOSH or NEBOSH training.
5. Good working knowledge of CDM regulations.
6. Ability to produce accurate and detailed reports.
7. Ability to negotiate best value.
