Senior National Account Manager Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 bonus car allowance Location: Yorkshire – Min. of 1 day in the office Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior National Account Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, nurturing, and expanding customer relationships across various UK retail channels, including major grocers, specialty stores, and department stores. Your key focus will be on developing strategic account plans aimed at driving growth and opening new distribution channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with top UK grocers and a proven track record of success in national account management. Duties include: Drive sales growth within your territory by developing strategies to increase the performance of existing accounts. Establish new channels of distribution within territory Commercial responsibility – sales to be in line with business goals including accountability for customer gross margins Manage merchandising and marketing plans Create and manage accurate customer forecasts to support business planning and decision-making. Supply timely written and verbal market / customer feedback. Analyse and develop strategic account action plans using customer data, competitor analysis, and retail/category information Attend sales meetings, training programs, and industry specific trade shows as required Advise customers on new and current products, order status, and pricing Analyse market trends and competitor activity and become an expert within your product category Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Customer Service, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Accounting. Requirements for the role: Minimum 5 years successful account management experience in consumer products within Grocer, department stores or specialty store channels Top grocer experience is strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to deliver compelling sales presentations/promotions.
