Job summary This role will enable an ST3 equivalent level doctor to gain experience as part of our Radiology team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. This post will support the increasing workload commitments and clinical reporting requirements in Imaging. We are particularly interested in radiologists who are competent in delivering a wide range of services across all modalities. You will be expected to have wide experience of general radiology, and able to contribute to the general workload of the department. This post is ideally suited to Radiologists who have a post-graduate qualification in clinical radiology, completed FRCR (minimum 4 years' experience including training) and wish to gain more experience in subspecialties of Radiology such as MSK, GI Imaging or Thoracic Imaging. They will also be encouraged to attend MDT meetings to gain cancer MDT experience. There will be robust peer (Consultant) support/supervision as and when needed. There is an expectation to participate in the on-call middle grade rota, along with the Radiology registrars. There will be the opportunity to participate in teaching, audit, guideline development and service improvement projects. We will also provide support to help you develop a portfolio in line with Royal College recommendations for those who want to evidence their role and training in this way.
