WHAT WILL YOU DO?
This role provides support for project efficiency with office-based administrative and organizational support for project and service line management activities. As key support personnel for the Geotechnical Services group, the Technical Administrator helps to streamline processes and facilitate effective project execution.
JOB DUTIES
1. Provides updates on administrative and technical aspects of projects and refers complex matters to more senior staff
2. Maintains open and effective communication channels within the technical members of the project team
3. Acts as a superuser on project tracking software for project managers and others
4. Fosters a collaborative and productive working environment
5. Participates in improvement of technical procedures
6. Provides administrative and technical office support for assigned Service Group(s), as directed
7. Supports Group Managers, Team Leads, Project Managers through all phases of the project management process
8. Attends internal meetings and coordinate the production and distribution of agendas, minutes, and Action Items
9. Prepares, tracks, and maintains a large volume of reports, databases, and other documents
10. Assists with report formatting in preparation for submission to Administration for finalization and submission through DocuSign
11. Maintains positive relationships with project leads, project staff, clients, and other colleagues
12. Ensures project tasks are completed by appropriate staff in compliance with SOPs and industry standards
13. Communicates information accurately and effectively in oral, written, visual and electronic forms
14. Develops and presents strategies for ongoing personal and professional development
Job Requirements
1. University degree or College diploma in Geotechnical Engineering, or other relevant field
2. Minimum 1-year related experience in a similar role within a project environment
3. Ability to work independently to troubleshoot problems with excellent reasoning, maturity, professionalism, and discretion
4. Ability to manage multiple demands effectively and efficiently
5. Excellent problem-solving, reasoning, resourcefulness, and reliability
6. Expert organizational skills, time management and prioritization abilities, with attention to detail
7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen and clarify in all methods
8. Expert and meticulous records maintenance skills
9. Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, TEAMS, and other project-related software and databases
10. Good interpersonal skills with the ability build positive relationships with team and contractors
11. Excellent customer service orientation
12. Flexible and adaptable to changing needs
13. A high level of integrity and pride in quality work
14. Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
